Terms of use
These terms apply when you use CardIQ, a game made by Charlie Horton ("we", "us"). They apply alongside Apple's Standard End User License Agreement. By using the app, you agree to both.
The game
CardIQ is a free game for entertainment. You guess the market value of trading cards and score points for accuracy. Points, levels, streaks and Market IQ have no monetary value and can’t be exchanged for anything.
Prices aren’t advice
Card prices come from third-party market data and may be out of date, incomplete or wrong. They are there to make the game work. Don’t use them as a valuation, or to decide whether to buy, sell or insure a card.
Your account
You don’t need an account to play. If you create one, keep your sign-in method secure. You can delete your account at any time under Profile → Delete account.
We may suspend or remove accounts that cheat, abuse the service, interfere with other players, or try to manipulate the leaderboard.
Fair play
Don’t try to reverse engineer the scoring, automate guesses, or access CardIQ’s servers other than through the app.
Trademarks and content
CardIQ is an independent game. It is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, Creatures or GAME FREAK. Pokémon, card names and card images are trademarks and copyright of their respective owners. They are shown only to identify the cards being priced.
The CardIQ name, design and code belong to us.
Changes and availability
We may add, change or remove features, game modes or cards at any time. We may also update these terms. If we do, we’ll change the date above, and your continued use of the app means you accept the new version.
Liability
CardIQ is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for any loss that comes from using the app or relying on its prices. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have as a consumer under UK law.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
